Launch of an International Joint Training Program between the Port Training Institute and the China Ports and Harbors Association

Within the framework of the strong and continuous relations between the Port Training Institute at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport and Chinese institutions,

Professor Prof. Alaa Mahmoud Morsy, Dean of Port Training Institute and Maritime  Research and Consultation Center – inaugurated a distinguished international training program broadcast live under the title:

" Dredging Technologies  in the Global Port  Industry"

This program marks the first milestone of fruitful cooperation between Port Training Institute and the China Ports and Harbors Association.

The opening ceremony witnessed high-level attendance, including:

✅ H.E. the Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Alexandria

✅ Representatives of the China Ports and Harbors Association

✅ Representatives of China Communications Construction Company (CCCC)

In his opening speech, Prof. Alaa Mahmoud Morsy highlighted the Institute’s key activities and international partnerships, stressing the importance of strategic cooperation with China, and unveiled the Institute’s 2025 international agenda.

For his part, the Chinese Consul expressed his pride in the strong ties between Egypt and China and praised the prominent role of the Arab Academy in enhancing scientific and knowledge exchange.

Ms. Deng Li – Secretary-General of the China Ports and Harbors Association – extended her thanks to the Port Training Institute, commending the effective cooperation that led to this distinguished program.

The program is being held from August 10 to 14 via live broadcast, with the participation of an elite group of trainees from the following countries:

Egypt –Libya –Sudan –Morocco –Yemen
