Visit of a High-Level Sudanese Judicial Delegation to the Maritime Research and Consultation Center

As part of enhancing joint cooperation and exchanging expertise between the Sudanese Sea Ports Authority and the Maritime Research and Consultation Center  in the fields of maritime transport and maritime judiciary, Prof. Alaa Mahmoud Morsy, Dean of Port Training Institute and the Research and Consultation Center, received a high-level delegation of judges and advisors from the Sudanese Sea Ports Authority, maritime judiciary, and judicial courts in Port Sudan, in a week-long visit.

The visit covered several important topics, most notably:

*Exchanging expertise on judicial ship arrest procedures.
*Discussing ways to expedite the resolution of maritime cases.
* Learning about Egypt's practical experiences in maritime judiciary, supported by experts from the Arab Academy for Maritime Transport.

As part of the practical aspect of the visit, the delegation held field meetings with specialists and consultants from:

* The General Authority of Alexandria Port.

* The Egyptian Authority for Maritime Safety.

The Sudanese delegation praised the pivotal role played by the center in providing technical and legal research and consultations. They expressed their appreciation for the high professionalism and advanced practices they witnessed, which will have a significant impact on the development of the maritime judiciary system in Sudan.

A landmark visit that reflects the depth of Arab cooperation in maritime transport, and an important step towards unifying visions and exchanging expertise to achieve efficient maritime justice.
