Mediterranean Ports Union Forum in Tangier

Prof. Alaa Mahmoud Morsy, Dean of Port Training Institute & Maritime Research & Consultation Center, AASTMT, participated in the annual forum of the Mediterranean Ports Union, hosted by the city of Tangier in the Kingdom of Morocco.

His participation was distinguished, where he delivered a keynote lecture titled "The Transition to Resilient  and Sustainable Future in Ports," addressing the challenges facing ports and proposing innovative solutions to enhance sustainability and competitiveness.

An agreement was also signed for a strategic cooperation extending over two years with the Mediterranean Ports Union, through which the Institute will provide technical support as a regional center for the Union, reaffirming the Institute's regional and international leadership.

On the sidelines of the forum, an agreement was reached with the Tangier Mediterranean Port to organize advanced training courses to build human capacities in the port sector, in line with the rapid developments in this vital sector.

These initiatives reflect Port Training Institute's commitment to developing ports and enhancing international partnerships for a sustainable future of the maritime sector.
