The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport held the closing ceremony of the 14th international maritime and logistics conference (Marlog 2025) that was held from 23 - 25 Feb 2025, at Hilton Green Plaza Hotel - Alexandria, with the theme of "Artifical Intelligence Implementations - Towards Shaping the Future of the Digistal World".
During the conference, a variety of scientific sessions was held including discussions on digital transformation, port management, and urgent concerns impacting the maritime transport sector, as the conference covered the most recent trends, difficulties and advancements influencing the sector. Moreover, 41 research papers and 53 addresses were presented at the conference. It is worth to mention that the Marlog family is expanding with every conference edition, as 700 attendees and new members from 31 countries joined, in addition to the more than 25 firms who participated in the conference's accompanying exhibition.
The closing session was held in the presence of H.E. Minister Al-Fadhil Ould Sidati Ould Ahmed Louli - Minister of Fisheries and Marine and Port Infrastructre of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, H.E. Minister Plenipotentiary Dr. Raed Al-Jabouri - Director of the Department of Arab Organizations and Federations, H.E. Major General Tariq Abdullah - Head of the Maritime Transport and Logistics Sector, H.E Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag - AASTMT president, Prof. Dr. Yousry Al-Gamal - Chairman of the conference scientific committee, and advisor to AASTMT president, Prof. Dr. Akram Suleiman - chairman of the conference organizing committe - dead of AASTMT college of engineering and technology, and Prof. Dr. Alaa Morsi - Dead of AASTMT Port Training Institute and Maritime Research and Consulting Center, in addition to the participation of a group of AASTMT officials, as well as, an extensive number of specialists, scholars, and innovators in the logistics and marine industries.
