On Monday, November 25, 2024, at the Port Training Institute headquarters, Prof. Alaa Mahmoud Morsy, Dean of Port Training Institute and Research and Consultation Center for the Maritime Transport Sector, met with the training directors of Egyptian authorities and companies operating in the maritime sector. The 61st meeting of the general training directors of Egyptian port authorities and companies involved in the port industry was held.
The meeting included discussions on the needs and requirements of the authorities and companies regarding the qualification and training of their human resources, in light of the training programs offered by Port Training Institute.
The recommendations emphasized the importance of training for employees in the maritime field, particularly the practical aspects integrated into training programs, which aim to enhance trainees' skills. Additionally, the role of workshops in addressing current issues was highlighted, as this contributes to keeping up with developments and changes in the port and maritime transport sectors.
It is worth noting that Port Training Institute, affiliated to the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport, plays an active role in training human resources locally and regionally through its distinguished training and qualification programs that comply with the requirements of the International Labour Organization.
