Within the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) Co-operational Agreements with different World Universities, H.E Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail - AASTMT President and Prof. Dr. Akram Soliman ElSalmy - Dean of AASTMT Port Training Institute (PTI) visited the University of Genoa - Italy, where they met H.E Prof. Dr. Enrico Goncelli - Vice President for External Relations, H.E Prof. Dr. Andre Trucco - Vice President for Research Activities, and H.E Prof. Dr. Rossi - Vice President for Education Affairs, as to discuss the methods of cooperation and partnership in areas of common interest.It’s worth to mention that H.E AASTMT President met H.E Prof. Dr. Paulo Pira - Dean of Faculty of Dentistry of University of Genoa, to discuss the possibility of cooperation, offering a joint scientific degree and establishing a center for medical tourism for dental medicine and surgery in AASTMT New Alamein City Campus, as AASTMT President met H.E Prof. Dr. Giorgio Roth - Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture of University of Genoa, as they discussed the methods of cooperation between AASTMT College of Engineering and Technology and the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture of University of Genoa, as well as His Excellency held an extensive meeting with H.E Prof. Dr. Enrico Moos - President of the Italian Center for Excellence in Maritime Transport and Logistics, and the center academic staff members and researchers. His Excellency also presented AASTMT leading role in training and personnel qualification in the maritime transport and logistics sector in Egypt and the Arab region as well as the Italian side also presented the educational and research activities in the context of discussing ways to support joint cooperation between the two sides.On the sidelines of the visit, Prof. Dr. Akram Soliman ElSalmy - Dean of AASTMT Port Training Institute (PTI) held a number of meetings with University of Genoa Faculty of Engineering and Architecture and a number of its educational, training and research centers on Monday 28- 1- 2019, as they agreed to sign a co-operational agreement between AASTMT Port Training Institute and University of Genoa Center for Engineering and Energy, as the University has a considerable experience in the field of renewable energy, alternative fuels, transport, safety, effective logistics and sustainable systems, in addition to being one of the organizers of AASTMT International Maritime Transport & Logistics Conference (MARLOG 8) that will be held in March 2019 in Alexandria.
