The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) has been granted a NEW ERASMUS PLUS Projects funded by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) of the European Union for three years (Nov 2019 to Nov 2022).The objectives of the Erasmus Plus Projects in general are to support capacity building in higher education universities and link them with Industry, and to Transfer knowledge and technology between experts in EU and MENA (Middle East and North Africa) Area, as the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) manages funding for education, culture, audiovisual, sport, citizenship and volunteering.This year 833 Projects have been submitted to the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) of the EU where only 163 projects have been selected for funding, of which Egyptian universities and industry are partners in seven projects, where AASTMT project is entitled “knowledge exchange in sustainable FISHeries management and AQUaculture in the Mediterranean region (FISH-AQU)”.
