The Ports Training Institute (PTI) of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) organized a diploma that entitled “Optimal Operation of Port Services and Container Terminals" in cooperation with Shanghai International Shipping Institute (SISI) during the period from 13 - 17 November 2022, through the online platform (zoom application).H.E Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag - AASTMT President inaugurated the diploma in the presence of H.E Mr. Yang Yi - Consul General of China in Alexandria, Ms. Julia Lu - SISI International Cooperation Coordinator at the Shanghai, Prof. Dr. Alaa Mahmoud Morsi - Dean of PTI, H.E Officials from the Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport, the Egyptian Authority for Maritime Safety, and seaport leaders from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Yemen and Sudan, in addition to AASTMT and SISI specialists, as well as Maritime Transport officials from Egypt and Arab region. The diploma was held within PTI partnership and international programs with many international entities and leading expertise centers in Europe and Asia, since 2016, as to exchange experiences, learn about developments in the maritime field and upgrade the skills of seaport workers in Egypt and the Arab region. It`s worth to mention that the diploma discussed a number of topics related to modern ports, sustainable development and digital transformation.
