The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) has hosted the finals of the Egyptian Olympiad in Informatics (EOI) that was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, at AASTMT AbuKir Campus – Alexandria, with the participation of the best 25 programmers nationwide from school students to choose the team that will represent Egypt in the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI) in Singapore.It is worth to mention that after several competitions inside schools to decide the best 100 students to join the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology grant in cooperation with AASTMT as to participate in the Egyptian Olympiad in Informatics, and then to decide the Egyptian team of the International Olympiad in Informatics, where IOI is considered to be the most important and oldest competition in software and methods of systematic solution for secondary school students around the world.
