H.E Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail - President of the Arab Academy for Science and Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), in addition to a group of H.E AASTMT Officials, AASTMT College of Maritime Transport and Technology students and students unions of various AATSMT Colleges in Alexandria participated in the activities of the reception of the Egyptian Navy for the FREMM Bermagini Frigate named Berenice, on Wednesday 14- 4- 2021, at Ras El-Tin base on the Mediterranean coast - Alexandria, in the presence of H.E Commanders of the armed forces, H.E Commander of the Egyptian Naval Force, H.E Former Commanders of the Navy, the Italian military attaché in Cairo, and a number of students from the Military colleges and Alexandria University.It is worth to mention that Berenice FREMM Bergamini-class Frigate was built by Fincantieri Italian Company according to the latest global systems in armament systems and combat efficiency, where this frigate is considered to be the second after Galala frigate, according to the contract between Egypt and Italy, as the frigate is a key technological addition to the capabilities of the Egyptian Navy to be able to secure all naval border, support the Army along the coast during conducting all defensive and offensive operations, and secure the natural resources of the country in the Mediterranean and Red Sea.
