League of Arab States Honors AASTMT President on the Arab Sustainability Day

In the light of the Arab Sustainability Day launched by the League of Arab States under the title "Sustainability Pioneers in the Arab Region" H.E. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag – President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) was honored for his distinguished efforts in improving quality of education, as AASTMT was ranked the number one university in Egypt in “Quality of Education”, which is the 4th goal of the Sustainable Development Goals, and the 14th in the Arab region and 112th internationally according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2022.
The events of the Arab Sustainability Day are part of the Arab efforts to achieve the sustainable development plan 2023 that aims at raising Arab citizens’ awareness of the importance of sustainable development and the achievements of the Arab states, partners and stakeholders in the field. The celebration was held in the presence of H.E. Ahmed Aboul Gheit - Secretary General of the League of Arab States, Dr. Hala Al-Saeed - Minister of Planning and Economic Development of the Arab Republic of Egypt and His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa,- Undersecretary of the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs in the Kingdom of Bahrain and under the supervision of H. E. the Minister Plenipotentiary Nada Al-Agizy - Head of the Department of Sustainable Development and International Cooperation at the League of Arab States.
