The Institute of Maritime Upgrading Studies (IMUS) – Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, AASTMT – received a delegation of maritime transport stakeholders with the purpose of reviewing and learning about the latest updates and developments in maritime education. The visiting delegation included Chief Eng. Mohammed Habashneh, Chief Transformation & Sustainability Officer (CO) of Zakher Marine International Company (ZMI), and Capt. Norman Lewis, Fleet Manager of Zakher Marine International Company (ZMI).
The visit comes within the context of the Institute of Maritime Upgrading Studies' (IMUS) pioneering role, its firm commitment, and its tireless efforts to sustain the approach of linking academic study with the maritime labour market and acquiring the necessary practical expertise in this respect. It also reflects the uniqueness of our esteemed Institute in providing advanced laboratory potentials, particularly the modern Marine Electromechanical Experimentation Laboratory which, integrating the latest state-of-the-art equipment, serves as a strong support for both maritime professionals and researchers in the field of maritime transport.
All of this is in line with moving forward in implementing the Academy’s leadership vision in providing promising maritime graduates that contribute both scientifically and practically to the maritime labour market.
