Teaching Math in English Level 2

This is the "second" level of four levels that is offered to math teachers with little or no experience in teaching math in English.

The certificate enhances their ability to formulate mathematical concepts in English and give clear presentations on such topics to a specialized or non-specialized audience.

Learners are assessed at the end of each level throughout oral and written exams.

The final grade in each course is based on learners’ performance on continual assessment measures and the final test.

Final course grades are NOT based on attendance.

Along with the objectives of level one student are to learn:

  • Demonstrate some mathematical concepts, ideas, charts, and graphs assigned to the Upper juniors'' stage.
  • Use a variety of instructional strategies and classroom management techniques needed for teaching mathematics assigned to the upper juniors'' stage.
  • Familiarize the students with the English statements and terms used to express the concepts of all the lessons assigned to the upper juniors'' stage.
  • Emphasize interactive instructional strategies which assist trainees in sharpening their teaching skills.
  • Present lessons assigned to the upper juniors’ stage.
  • Assists learners to sharpen their pre-session lesson planning skills

It is mainly designed to prepare college students who want to teach mathematics in English, Or to Math teachers targeting to improve themselves with a higher level of education.
