Karim Hammad (Member, IEEE) received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electronics and communications engineering from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), Cairo, Egypt, in 2005 and 2009, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Western Ontario, London, ON, Canada, in 2016. From 2018 to 2021, he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Lassonde School of Engineering, York University, Toronto, ON, Canada, as a Post-Doctoral Visitor. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering, AASTMT, Cairo. His research interests include cross-layer design in wireless networks, digital circuit design and high performance computing in bioinformatics.
