Salma Ghanem holds a Masters Degree in Architectural Engineering and Environmental Design from the Arab Academy for Science technology and Maritime Transport in 2018 and a Bachelor Degree from the same academy in 2013. She is interested in studying the socio-cultural and political factors affecting the built environment. Besides being a Full Time Teaching Assistant in The AAST since 2013, she has also worked as a Furniture and Interior Designer in local firms in Cairo. She has earned a Diploma in Furniture Design from Career gates that is accredited by the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in 2015. She is a member in “Benebny Hayah” team since 2012 that works on the development of poor villages in Egypt, providing them with essential needs like shelter and a good infrastructure. She is a former member in “Architecture Club "that encourages children under 14 years , to learn about basic architectural knowledge through interactive hands-on activities & workshops
