Prof. Juan Manuel Corchado

Juan Manuel Corchado is the Rector and a Full Professor at the University of Salamanca, where he previously served as Vice President for Research and Director of the Science Park. He is the founder and director of the BISITE research group and has been twice elected Dean of the Faculty of Science. He also directs the IoT Digital Innovation Hub and has served as President of the AIR Institute. Corchado is a Visiting Professor at the Osaka Institute of Technology and has held similar roles at Universiti Malaysia Kelantan and Europol’s advisory group on online terrorist propaganda.

An expert in Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, IoT, and Smart Cities, Corchado has led numerous research projects and developed master’s programs at the University of Salamanca in fields like Security, Digital Transformation, Fintech, and Industry 4.0. He has contributed extensively to academia and technology innovation through his leadership and research initiatives.
