Course Exercises

  1. The participant will be able to use and operate the AIS.
  2. The Practical operational procedures on the followings:
  • Electronic circuits design and tracing.
  • Electronic circuit welding.
  • Trace and troubleshoot the basic electronic circuits of the AIS equipment and technically reporting the AIS faults.

Objectives

  • By the end of this course, the trainee will understand the objectives of installing the Automatic Identification System (AIS), its operation theory, the system benefits and limitations. In addition, the trainee after passing this course will be able to cope with the AIS’s built in software and application practically to take the decision based on the AIS delivered information. The trainee will gain the theoretical knowledge and practical skills of the AIS electronic maintenance in the second part of this course. This part provides both theoretical and practical training on the first line troubleshooting of the AIS unit starting from the electronic components to the assembly level to build small electronics circuit reaching to the AIS main circuit troubleshooting.
