Libyan General Union Training Director Visits the Industry Service Complex to Discuss Technical Training Cooperation

As part of the visit of Mr. Osama Salem Younis, Director of the Training Department at the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture of Libya, to the Academy on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, he was honored with a visit to the Industry Service Complex at the Academy’s main campus in Abu Qir, where avenues of cooperation in technical training were discussed.

During the tour, Dr. Ahmed Shoier, Manager of the Technical & Vocational Institute, presented the educational and training activities offered by the Institute, highlighting its specialized programs designed to prepare qualified technical personnel in accordance with the local and regional labor market needs, under the internationally recognized Pearson-BTEC certification. The visit also included a showcase of advanced professional courses and professional diplomas provided by the Complex. The visit concluded with an inspection of the Complex’s workshops and laboratories across all departments.

  • Prof. Sandra Haddad, Dean of the Faculty of International Transport & Logistics – Alamein Branch

  • Dr. Ahmed Gomaa, Head of the Service Workshops Department

  • Mr. Islam Fayed, Head of the Training Department

Both sides emphasized the importance of these programs in supporting the training of Libyan technical personnel, especially in specialized and rare technical fields, contributing to meeting the needs of infrastructure and reconstruction projects in Libya. They also agreed to study ways to implement joint training programs in the coming phase.
