The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) has been granted six NEW ERASMUS PLUS Projects funded by the European Commission for three years (Nov 2017 Nov 2020).
The objectives of the Erasmus Plus Projects are to support capacity building in higher education universities and link them with Industry, and to Transfer knowledge and technology between experts in EU and MENA (Middle East and North Africa) Area.
This year 877 Projects have been submitted to the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) of the EU where only 149 projects have been selected for funding, of which Egyptian universities and industry are partners in eight projects.
The six AASTMT projects are:
1.Progression of accessibility centers in higher education for students with disabilities in North Africa whose consortium is from UK, Slovenia, Greece, Spain, Morocco and Egypt.
2.Innovative lifelong e-learning for professional engineers whose consortium is from Sweden, Austria, Croatia and Egypt.
3.Innovation for the leather industry in Jordan and Egypt, whose consortium is from Greece, Jordan and Egypt.
4.Climate change management through adaptation and mitigation consortium is from Italy, Lithonia, Slovenia, Greece and Egypt.
5.High level renewable and energy efficiency master courses whose consortium is from Austria, Italy, Germany, Cyprus, Jordan, Lebanon and Egypt.
6.Wind engineering skills in Egypt and Tunisia whose consortium is from Spain, Italy, France, Denmark, Tunis and Egypt.
