Arab Institute of Navigation (AIN) Webinar

The Arab Institute of Navigation (AIN) organized a webinar through the online platform (zoom application) that entitled: "autonomous vehicle between what is available and expected", on Tuesday 23- 6- 2020, in the presence of H.E Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail – President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), H.E Dr. Refaat Rashad - AIN President, H.E Vice Admiral Awwad Eid Al-Balawi - Director-General of Saudi Arabian Border Guards, H.E Lieutenant General Osama Rabie – Chairman of Suez Canal Authority, H.E Maj. Gen. Naji Al-Juhani - Commander of Mohammed bin Nayef Academy for Maritime Security Sciences and Studies, in addition to the participation of a group of specialists and those interested in the maritime transport industry in various fields from education and training to ship operation at the technical and security levels.
It`s worth to mention that Captain Hisham Hilal - AIN Vice President, and Dr. Mohamed Abdel Salam Dawoud - AASTMT Vice President for Maritime Affairs held presentations on the concept of self-driving vehicle, as well as several discussions on the educational and technical side of the technological transformation, and the anticipated security challenges.
