AASTMT "Port Training Institute" Fifth Webinar

Within the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) Port Training Institute (PTI) series of webinars to discuss the effects of COVID-19 on maritime transport, logistics, education and maritime training sector, PTI organized the Fifth Online workshop through the online platform (zoom application) that entitled: "Digitalization in Maritime Industry”, on Wednesday 19- 8- 2020.
H.E Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail - AASTMT President inaugurated PTI Fifth Online Workshop that was held with the participation of international speakers, experts and specialists from China, Spain, Italy and Egypt, in the presence of H.E Ambassador Dr. Kamal Hassan Ali - Assistant Secretary-General for Economic Affairs of the League of Arab States, H.E Consul General Jiao Liying - Chinese consul general in Alexandriam H.E Dr. Dina AlZahir - Director of Transport and Tourism Sector at the League of Arab States, H.E Major General Khaled Zahran - Chairman of Red Sea Ports Authority, Dr. Al-Senossy Balbaa - AASTMT Vice President for African and Asian Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ihab Al-Qassas - Dean of AASTMT Maritime Research & Consultation Centre (MRCC), Dr. Abier Mourad - Head of AASTMT Public Relations Department, and Prof. Dr. Akram Suleiman Al Salami - Dean of AASTMT Port Training Institute, in addition to the participation of attendees from Egypt and the Arab countries through (Zoom) and (YouTube) programs, where the workshop emphasized on the role of digitization and the inevitability of using technological innovations in the maritime field and the need to develop the Egyptian and Arab ports Self-Capabilities.
