AASTMT President Participation in the Arab Sea Ports Federation Meeting

H.E Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag - President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) participated in the activities of the Arab Sea Ports Federation (ASPF) emergent meeting that was held on Sunday 16- 8- 2020, through the online platform (zoom application).
The meeting was held within the League of Arab States efforts to support the State of Lebanon as for solidarity, and urgent assistance for the Lebanese Republic and Beirut Port to confront the disaster that occurred as a result of the massive explosion that shook Beirut Port and mitigate its effects, so the meeting activities were held under the chairmanship and presence of H.E Sheikh Yousef Abdullah Al -Sabah - Director General of the Kuwait Ports Authority (KPA), and Chairman of the Arab Sea Ports Federation, H.E Admiral Osama Mounier Mohamed Rabie - Chairman of Suez Canal Authority, and H.E Vice-Admiral Essam Badawi - Secretary General of the Arab Union for Sea Ports, H.E Minister Plenipotentiary Dr. Dina Al-Zahir - Director of the Transportation and Tourism Department of the League of Arab States, H.E Captain Muhammad Al-Shamsi - Vice President of the Federation, and H.E Mr. Bassem Qaisi - Chairman of Port of Beirut Board of Directors, and H.E Mrs. Faten Salhab - Head of the Representative Office of Arab Maritime Ports Federation in the Republic of Lebanon, in addition to the participation of Heads of boards of directors of Ports and Unions.
