2nd International Conference for Persons with Disabilities "Hybrid Edition Conference"

The 2nd International Conference for Persons with disabilities (PwD): The role of entrepreneurship, aCcessibility cEntres and assistive technologieS towards full inclusion
(IC-PACES) – Hybrid Edition Conference is organized by the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), under the patronage of H.E Secretary General of the League of Arab States, H.E Egyptian Minister of Social Solidarity, and H.E Egyptian Minister of Youth and Sports, within the framework of PACES Project: Progression of Accessibility Centers in higher Education for Students with disabilities in North Africa, which is co-funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ Programme for Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE), where the conference will be held on 6 – 7 March 2021, at AASTMT Campus & Online, as this Hybrid Edition of the conference will focus on:
1. Knowledge building and launching awareness campaigns for all the stakeholders concerned with the inclusion of students with disabilities (SwD) and the rights of persons with disabilities (PwD).
2. Raising awareness about the Accessibility Centers (AC) in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), Assistive Technologies (AT) and the Employers’ Network.
3. The necessity of training for employment and entrepreneurship for SwD.
It’s worth to mention that during the conference, there will be many sessions - presented by Keynote speakers from Europe, Egypt and Morocco - related to disability issues and good practices. Likewise, there will be many workshops, success stories from PwD, an Assistive Technology Exhibition & round table discussion for exchanging ideas for collaboration, education, role of civil society, corporate social responsibility towards PwD, and employment opportunities, as well as disseminating the PACES project results.
