The European Union Adoption of Egypt seafarer’s education and training as systems of issuing certifications by recognizing AASTMT as a Maritime Institute

The European Commission has issued Resolution No: (Document C (2012) 6297) (2012/505/EU) that include the European Union Adoption of the systems of education & training and the certifications of seafarers in the Arab Republic of Egypt by recognizing the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) as a Maritime Institute and that in accordance with the requirements of the Parliament of the European Union no (EC/106/2008), where the results of the technical evaluation of the file that was submitted by AASTMT and the Egyptian Authority for Maritime Safety to reflect the success in the alignment and the coverage for all of the European Commission requirements in June 2012, as the European Union had voted on the Adoption of the Egyptian file on 19 September 2012 that was received by a considerable support for adoption from most of the states.
