The 19th Arab Collegiate Programming Contest ACM-ACPC 2016

Egypt hosts the 19th Arab Colleigit Programming Contest ACM-ACPC with the participation of 100 teams from 13 Arab countries in Sharm El - Sheikh during the period 11 - 15 November 2016 under the supervision of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) and sponsored by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. This contest qualifies winners to the international competition ACM-ICPC which will take place in the United States in May 2017.
The ICPC competition is the oldest and the largest official programing contest. It had been organized since 1970 till now under the auspices of the International Organization of computer science and programming company IBM and more than 30000 contestants of 2330 Universities around the world are participating this this contest. These Competitions help to develop students` creativity, innovation and teamwork skills.
This year, the AASTMT managed to transfer the Middle East and North Africa region became SUPER Region and achieving an outstanding performance in the History of ACM-ICPC by raising the the number of teams in the North Africa and Middle East from 45 teams in year 2011 to 1600 teams in 2016 .
