Go Green Campaign College of Pharmacy AASTMT

In response to the initiative of the Egyptian Ministry of Environment to reduce the use of single-use plastics, our College proudly launched the Go Green Campaign.

The campaign aims to raise awareness about the hazards of plastic use:

• Plastics take over 450 years to decompose.
• They pollute the environment, water, and threaten marine life.
• Only 20% of plastics are ever recycled, while the rest end up harming animals and ecosystems.

Through awareness sessions, recycling activities, and pilot projects, we encourage our students to adopt eco-friendly alternatives such as:

• Paper or cloth bags instead of plastic bags.
• Bamboo or reusable straws instead of plastic straws.
• Refillable water bottles instead of disposable ones.

This campaign reflects our commitment to a sustainable future by empowering students to think green, innovate in circular economy projects, and become leaders in environmental awareness.
