The College of Medicine at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), Alamein Campus, organized a distinguished scientific day featuring a lecture by Professor Dr. Alaa El-Ghoneimy, Professor of Pediatric and Urological Surgery, President of the European Association for Pediatric Urology, and Head of the Pediatric Urology Department at Paris Children’s University Hospital, under the patronage of Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of AASTMT.
The event was attended by Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, President of the Academy; Professor Dr. Mahmoud El-Zolbany, Dean of the Medical Sector; Professor Dr. Mohamed Hesham Abdel Moneim, Dean of the College of Medicine at Alamein; along with several distinguished professors and specialists in pediatric urology.
The lecture highlighted the latest techniques in pediatric urological surgery, including the use of robotic and laparoscopic surgery, while comparing them to traditional surgical methods.
During his remarks, Professor Dr. Alaa El-Ghoneimy expressed his happiness at visiting the Alamein campus, praising the Academy’s commitment to fostering scientific advancement and medical excellence through such educational events.
In turn, Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar welcomed Dr. El-Ghoneimy, affirming that the Academy is proud to host one of Egypt’s prominent medical figures, and emphasizing that the Alamein Campus has become a leading hub for scientific and medical activities that contribute to both community service and student development.
