The Arab Academy Celebrates the Graduation of a New Class from the Graduate School of Business in Alexandria

The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) celebrated the graduation of a new class from the Graduate School of Business in Alexandria on Saturday, October 11, 2025. A total of 328 graduates from Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Yemen, and Egypt received their DBA and MBA degrees, including those from the joint MBA program with Marywood University (USA).

The ceremony was attended by Prof. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of AASTMT; Prof. Saad El-Geoushy, Former Minister of Transport; Ms. Lisa Laurie, President of Marywood University (USA); Prof. Alaa Abdelbarry, Vice President for Postgraduates Studies and Scientific Research; Prof. Aiman Ragab, Dean of the Graduate School of Business in Alexandria; and Prof. Mohamed Abdelsalam, Dean of International Graduate Programs.

In his address, Prof. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar congratulated the graduates, affirming that AASTMT alumni represent excellence, creativity, and leadership. He emphasized that their degrees symbolize a responsibility to lead change and drive development. Prof. Aiman Ragab commended the graduates and highlighted the second anniversary of the partnership with Marywood University, noting the success of the joint MBA program and announcing future collaborative bachelor’s degrees in business and engineering.

Ms. Lisa Laurie praised the strong partnership with AASTMT, describing it as a model of international collaboration that proves “education knows no boundaries.” Prof. Saad El-Geoushy emphasized that knowledge is the cornerstone of national progress and urged graduates to continue striving for excellence.

 

The event highlighted AASTMT’s enduring mission to foster excellence, international collaboration, and leadership for sustainable development in Egypt and the Arab region.
