Exchange Program for Undergraduate Students
Exchange Program is an enriching experience that is
valuable for students’ personal growth and canenhance career prospects.
Requirements for the Exchange Program
Interested students must fulfill the following requirements in order to apply for
an exchange program opportunity
1. The student must be in good academic standing (minimum GPA of 3.30 Very Good )
2. The student must have completed successfully his/her first year (two successive academic semesters)
with a minimum of 38 credits during the time of application submission.
3. The students must have achieved more than 90% in all English subjects (minimum A-)
(English subjects for Basic Nautical Studies: BS171 Maritime English I & BS172 Maritime English II)
(English subjects for Engineering Technology: LH131 ESP I & LH132 ESP II)
4. Students who are on disciplinary probation (been found to have committed conduct or academic
integrity violations) are not eligible to apply.
5. Medical fitness
6. Age must not exceed 21 for Egyptian males unless military service status is settled.
7. Not being previously expelled from any other university.
The campus panel will evaluate the following before final submission:
Academic performance
Extracurricular activities
Work experience and internshipsIn addition to the minimum criteria listed above,
students are subject to the specific admission criteria ofeach host university. Additionally, for the purpose of exchange, considering slots are usually limited, the review
committee will make final decisions on the following rated criteria:
Relevancy to academic goals as demonstrated through a personal statement
Demonstrated maturity and ability to handle independent international travel and experience
Diversity of academic and extracurricular activities pursued, as demonstrated in the CV or resume**The host university has the right to accept/reject the nominated student according to further criteria that will
match their own rules and regulations.
