A scientific trip to jabal Al Zait windmill station and the KURAYMAT power station.

Under the patronage of H.E Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag - AASTMT President, The Department of Mechanical Engineering made a scientific trip to the KURAYMAT power station - Beni Suef - which consists of two units with a total generating capacity of 1254 megawatts. The commercial operation of the first unit began in November 1997 and the second unit August 1998, and the windmills station in Jabal Al-Zait was visited as the station location Jabal Al-Zayt is one of the best locations in the world to invest in wind power generation projects, and the site`s wind speed reaches 12 meters per second and sometimes it records 33 meters per second, in addition to that the land is straight and has no curves or rocks.
