On 06/3/2018, the first scientific symposium was held for the second semester (2018-2019) entitled Challenge the self-sufficiency of natural gas in Egypt 2017-2020 and the role of sub-sea system technology in the achievement was delivered by the engineer / Hamdi Ahmed Abdul Rahim - Assistant General Manager of Rashid Petroleum Company - Consultant, Competency Assurance in the Zohr field. The meeting was attended by Dr. Ashraf Sharara, Head of Marine Engineering Department and a number of professors and Students of the department
