The Faculty of Engineering and Technology announces a specialized online scientific seminar titled:
“Engineering for a Sustainable Future”

The seminar is held under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Akram Soliman El-Solmy, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, and is organized by the Energy Research Unit, headed by Dr. Iham Zidan, in collaboration with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, headed by Prof. Dr. Ali Ismail Shehata, the Department of Construction and Building Engineering, headed by Prof. Dr. Al-Badr Othman, and the Department of Architectural Engineering and Environmental Design, headed by Prof. Dr. Mai Abbas Yehia.
This seminar reflects the Faculty’s academic and applied role in raising awareness of sustainability challenges, promoting responsible engineering practices, and fostering forward-looking perspectives that align with current global developments.
It is organized as part of the Faculty’s ongoing efforts to support modern sustainability trends and to enhance students’ and researchers’ awareness of the importance of integrating environmental considerations into engineering practice. The seminar will also highlight the role of engineers in addressing contemporary global challenges and adopting proactive, responsible solutions that contribute to building a more efficient and sustainable future.
The seminar is open to all students of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, with particular emphasis on students from the Alexandria main campus and the Port Said branch, especially those specializing in Mechanical Engineering, Construction and Building Engineering, and Architectural Engineering and Environmental Design, given the direct relevance of the seminar topics to these disciplines.
