cad master session

In its ongoing commitment to enhancing student competencies, the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport (AASTMT) organized a specialized seminar on Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology at the College of Engineering and Technology – Abu Qir Main Campus. The event was a collaborative effort between the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the Department of Electrical Engineering and Control, and the Department of Construction and Building Engineering, aiming to foster interdisciplinary integration and keep pace with the latest technological advancements in engineering design and execution.

The seminar was titled:
⚡️ Introduction to BIM Technology ⚙️

It was coordinated by Prof. Dr. Eman Morsi, Vice Dean for Training and Community Service, in partnership with CAD Masters, Autodesk’s official educational partner in Egypt.

The seminar targeted students from Mechanical, Electrical & Control, and Construction & Building Engineering departments, introducing them to BIM as a cornerstone of digital transformation in the construction industry. It highlighted BIM’s critical role in improving design efficiency, reducing errors, and enhancing coordination among various engineering disciplines.

The session was delivered by Eng. Amna Kasab, Technical Office Manager at CAD Masters, who presented the latest advancements in engineering design technologies. She illustrated the significant evolution from traditional CAD to modern BIM workflows and showcased practical BIM applications relevant to all three engineering disciplines.

The seminar also featured a live demonstration of MEP Revit, one of the most advanced modeling tools used in mechanical, electrical, and structural projects. The demonstration emphasized how MEP Revit enhances design quality, enables early clash detection, and improves overall project management efficiency.

Held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM in Room 506G at the College of Engineering and Technology – Abu Qir Main Campus, the event drew strong attendance and active engagement from students and faculty alike—reflecting the growing interest in digital construction technologies and modern modeling practices.

The College extended its sincere gratitude to CAD Masters and the seminar’s presenter for delivering such a high-quality, practical, and insightful session, reaffirming its commitment to continued collaboration with industry partners who support engineering education and hands-on training.
