‏The Hidden Dangers of Electromagnetic Compatibility Seminar

With praise and gratitude to God, the scientific seminar organized by the Department of Electrical and Control Engineering — under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Walid Ahmed Maher Ghoneim — was successfully held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, under the title:
"The Hidden Dangers of Electromagnetic Compatibility"

The seminar was delivered by Dr. Wasim El-Sayed,
Lecturer and Researcher in Electrical & Electronics Engineering & Applied Computer Science, Saxion University of Applied Sciences, Netherlands.

The event witnessed an engaging and intellectually stimulating discussion in a dynamic and interactive atmosphere, with a large number of students from the department in attendance, along with a distinguished group of faculty members from the Department of Electrical and Control Engineering.

The seminar addressed the importance of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and its hidden impacts on electrical power projects, emphasizing its negative effects on the performance of electrical equipment and systems. Dr. Wasim explained the mechanisms for identifying sources of electromagnetic interference and methods to minimize its effects to ensure the efficiency and stability of electrical systems.

In addition, Dr. Wasim shared valuable advice with students on how to apply for postgraduate scholarships abroad, highlighting key skills needed and strategies for finding available academic opportunities.
