Within the framework of the role of the College of Engineering and Technology towards appreciating the efforts of its students and presenting their high-level ideas and innovations, and taking pride in its top students and distinguished faculty members, the College of Engineering and Technology at the main headquarters in Abu Qir witnessed today, Wednesday 9/8/2023, in the Arab Ministers Council Hall, its annual celebration of Engineering Innovation Day. And creativity, where the celebration was honored by His Excellency Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag - President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, His Excellency Professor Dr. Yousry Saber El-Gamal - Former Minister of Education - Advisor to the President of the Academy for Educational Affairs and Founding Dean of the College of Engineering and Technology, Professor Dr. Alaa Abdel Bari, Vice President of the Academy for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research, Professor Dr. Yasser Al-Sunbati, Vice President of the Academy for Education and Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Akram Suleiman Al-Salami - Dean of the College of Engineering and Technology
The celebration began with a presentation highlighting the college’s achievements, which included a film about the college’s most important activities during the past year, presented by Professor Dr. Akram Suleiman Al-Salami - Dean of the college.
His Excellency Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of the Academy, spoke about his pride in the College of Engineering and its development, and that the primary goal of the College is to provide the best and finest educational service. His Excellency emphasized the importance of scientific research and its quality to advance towards new horizons for the Academy to occupy an advanced position among international universities. He also emphasized the necessity of linking generations together and for the current generation to benefit from the experiences of the previous generation. His Excellency also noted the current development of the Academy through growth and what it has achieved. The academy offers branches such as (Smart Village - New Alamein - Aswan).
His Excellency Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag - President of the Academy and Professor Dr. Akram Suleiman Al-Salami - Dean of the College honored the faculty members for their excellence in scientific publishing and advancement, as well as the distinguished workers in administrative and technical work.
The College of Engineering and Technology’s interest in organizing Innovation Day comes in light of its support for qualifying its dear students and graduates for the requirements of the labor market, and displaying distinguished graduation projects that enhance the value of the college graduate and enhance his ability to compete honestly and achieve sustainable success.
