


On Wednesday, April 15, 2026, completion certificates for the educational workshop were distributed to students of the College of Engineering and Technology at the Main Campus in Abu Qir. This took place as part of the activities of the "Engobots" initiative, which aims to develop students' skills in robot design and control, in coordination and collaboration with the Regional Informatics Centre (RIC).
The event was attended by: Prof. Dr. Akram Soliman Al-Salmi – Dean of the College of Engineering and Technology

Prof. Dr. Ali Ismail – Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department
Dr. Rania Asem – Assistant Professor in the Electrical and Control Engineering Department
The initiative included a series of intensive workshops delivered by the Electrical and Control Engineering and Mechanical Engineering departments. Students were trained on the fundamentals of robot design, starting from the mechanical aspects, moving through electrical circuits, and culminating in programming and control.
During the event, the launch of the "RoboRave" competition was also announced, providing students with the opportunity to apply their skills and participate in a stimulating competitive environment
