"Marketing for Non-Profit" Course
The students in the marketing department at AAST CMT have undertaken a remarkable project in their "Marketing for Non-Profit" course, developing a social marketing initiative aimed at combating hunger and malnutrition. Through their proposed business idea, "Nourishing Hope," they crafted a comprehensive marketing plan designed to promote food security across the campus. The initiative engaged the community through posters, flyers, and banners that encouraged everyone to reduce food waste and ensure that food supplies in campus restaurants were efficiently utilized. Any excess was redirected to prepare subsidized meals for those at nutritional risk. As part of their efforts, the students organized an event to collect essential food supplies such as pasta, rice, beans, and milk, ensuring that anyone in need could access healthy, sustainable, and supplemental nutrition. The initiative also promoted awareness of organic agriculture systems, highlighting the importance of healthy, nutritious meals for those at risk of hunger. All contributions were placed in accessible boxes to foster a culture of sharing and community engagement. The pictures represent the posters, flyers, posts, announcement for event and event pictures.
