In line with global efforts toward environmental stewardship and sustainable development goals,
College of Fisheries and Aquaculture Technology students actively participated in the "By Fisher to Fisher" program. This initiative, supervised by Global Stars Company and held under the auspices of the Egyptian Ministry of Environment and Banque du Caire, demonstrates a collaborative effort between government, civil society, and the private sector to promote environmental preservation, sustainable growth, and socioeconomic empowerment.
"By Fisher to Fisher" is part of the broader "Green & Clean" campaign, which aims to raise environmental awareness and implement impactful projects in partnership with key private sector stakeholders.
The program focuses on supporting fishermen by implementing the first cleanup operations of fishing ports at Alexandria's Eastern Harbor. It also implements waste recycling processes to facilitate reuse in beneficial economic activities for local communities. This approach underscores the growing importance of the blue economy and its contribution to achieving sustainable development goals.
CFAT remains committed to participating in initiatives and projects that promote environmental consciousness, conservation, sustainable development, and socioeconomic advancement.
