Cooperation Between AAST Entrepreneurship Center & USAID (2023–2024)

During the years 2023 and 2024, the Entrepreneurship Center at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AAST) and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) have engaged in a strategic partnership aimed at fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic development. This collaboration has focused on empowering aspiring entrepreneurs through capacity-building programs, mentorship, and access to vital resources.

The partnership has facilitated the launch of various initiatives including startup incubation, skills development workshops, and networking events that have significantly contributed to nurturing a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem within the region. Together, AAST and USAID have worked to bridge the gap between education and practical business opportunities, driving sustainable growth and job creation.

  • In 2023, USAID, through its Business Egypt program, provided financial and technical support to the center, enabling the launch and expansion of entrepreneurship programs focused on business development, innovation, and startup readiness.
  • In 2024, the partnership supported the Supply Chain Startups Program, which culminated in a major demonstration and graduation event held in Cairo. The initiative aimed to accelerate innovative startups in the logistics and supply chain sectors, providing training, mentorship, and exposure to investors and ecosystem stakeholders.

We extend our sincere gratitude to USAID for their invaluable support and commitment to advancing entrepreneurship and economic empowerment through this fruitful cooperation.
