Egypt and Zimbabwe
 • Diplomatic relations between both countries were established in 1980.
 Mutual Visits:
• In December 2009, Minister of Trade and Industry visited Zimbabwe and attend the COMESA meeting for investment in the Gulf Area.
• In November 2009, Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe visited Egypt and attended the Fourth Ministerial Conference of the Forum on China-Africa.
• In November 2009, Zimbabwean Minister of Information and Communications Technology NELSON CHAMISA visited Egypt.
• In November 2009, Zimbabwean Minister of Trade and Industry Welshman Noxubee visited Egypt and participated in the Fourth Ministerial Conference of the Forum on China Africa.
• In October 2009, Zimbabwean Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry Michael Burnham visited Egypt and attended the preparatory meeting of African trade ministers to coordinate positions prior to the Seventh Conference of the World Trade Organization.
• In October 2009, Zimbabwean Minister of Education and Sports, Art and Culture David Coltart visited Egypt and attended the sixth session of the Liberal Democrats, organized by Liberal International.
• In September 2009, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation visited Zimbabwe and participated in the COMESA Ministers of Agriculture meetings held in the town of Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe.
• In July 2009, Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe visited Egypt and attended the summit of the Non-Aligned movement in Sharm El-Sheikh.
• In July 2009, First Lady of Zimbabwe, "Grace Mugabe visited Egypt and attended the first summit of the First Ladies in parallel with the Non-Aligned Movement summit in Sharm El-Sheikh.
• In July 2009, Zimbabwean Finance Minister Tindai Biti visited Egypt and attended the joint annual meeting of the AU Conference of Ministers of Economy and Finance.
• In June 2009, Minister of International Cooperation visited Zimbabwe and chaired the delegation of Egypt during the Thirteenth Summit of the COMESA which was held in Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.
• In 2009, Zimbabwean Minister of Transport and Communications Infrastructure Development Nicholas Goche visited Egypt and attended the fourth ordinary session of the Meeting (PAN AFRICAN POSTAL UNION) PAPU.
• In 2009, Zimbabwean Foreign Minister Simbarashe Mubengegui, Secretary of regional integration and international cooperation Misihairambwi Mushonga visited Egypt.Contractual Framework:
• Agreement for the Establishment of the Joint Commission signed on 07/04/1988
• Agreement on Technical Cooperation between the Egyptian Fund for Technical Cooperation with Africa and the Zimbabwean government (February 1988 and renewed in December 2002).
• Agreement on Cooperation in the field of air transport, signed in November 1991.
• Military cooperation protocol signed in September 1993.
• Agreement to facilitate the flight line to Cairo - Harare in May 1994 (stopped its flights from landing in Harare in March 2004).
• Agreement on Cooperation in the field of Education, Culture and Science March 1995.
• Cooperation Agreement between the General Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce and the Zimbabwean National Chamber of Commerce July 1994.
• Trade agreement between the two countries, December 1997.
