TogoBilateral relations
1- Political relations
• The diplomatic relations between Egypt and Togo started directly after Togo obtained its independence in 1960.
2-Technical relations:
• The Egyptian Fund for Technical Cooperation with Africa offers medical and food assistances to Togo. In November 2007, the fund offered assistance to the Togolese Ministry of Health comprising 29 packages of medical supplies, and in December 2007, the fund offered a food assistance comprising 90 tons of rice to overcome the aftermath of the floods, and a medical assistance comprising 81 packages of medicine and antibiotics to the Togolese ministry of Health.
In February and August 2008, the fund offered a medical assistance. Moreover, in February 2009, the fund sent food assistance comprising 100 tons of rice and edible oil.Mutual visits:
• Visit paid by the President of Togo to Egypt in April 2014.
 • Participation of Prime Minister of Togo in Africa Investment Forum, which was held in Sharm El-Sheikh in February 2016 on behalf of the Togolese President.
• Visit paid by Eng / Ibrahim Mahlab Assistant President of the Republic and national strategic projects to Togo in March 2016.
• Visit paid by Ambassador / Mustafa Konya as an envoy from President of Togo in October 2015 to support Egypt's candidacy for non-permanent membership of the United Nations Security Council 2016/2017.
• Visit paid by Togolese Agricultureas a representatives of the president to participate in the inauguration ceremony of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi
 • Visit paid by Ambassador / Nihad Abdul Latif as an envoy of the President to the Republic of Togo in July 2013.
• Visit paid by President of Togo to participate in the opening of the Suez Canal cermony in august 2015.
• Visit of President of Togo accompanied by high-level delegation that included foreign and agriculture ministers, as well as presidential adviser to Cairo in February 2013 to participate in the twelfth session of the Islamic Summit Conference.
Contractual framework
• During the visit of the Togolese president to Egypt in April 2016 the following aggrements were signed:
• Memorandum of understanding in the field of sports.
• Memorandum of understanding in the field of culture.
• Memorandum of understanding in the field of Tv and Radio.
• Memorandum of understanding in the field of of housing and urban planning.
• Memorandum of understanding in the field of Tv and Radio.
• Memorandum of understanding in the field of media.
• Memorandum of understanding in the field of Health between Togo's ministry of Health and 57357 Hospital.
The Joint Committee:
• The Joint Committee was founded in February 1988.
• The First Session was held in February 1988, in Cairo.
• The Second Session was held in January 1991, in Lomé.
