MoroccoBilateral Relations
• Egypt is linked with close historical brotherly ties with the Kingdom of Morocco.
The heads of state of both countries chair the Egyptian-Moroccan High Joint Committee which is considered the general framework regulating the various aspects of the relations
Bilateral relations between both countries increased throughout history on all political, economic and social levels
Egypt is keen on promoting current cooperation and coordination with Morocco regarding bilateral, regional and international issues.
Cultural relations between the two countries:
• Egypt and Morocco enjoy unique relations throughout history supported by the cohesion of their people and the proximity of their traditions, in addition to the attachment of the people of Morocco to Egyptian arts and culture.
Religious institutions also have close ties for centuries.
• The Cultural Cooperation Agreement signed in June 1959 in Cairo shapes bilateral relations between the two countries in the fields of education, higher education, scientific research, Islamic affairs, culture with its different aspects (books, archeology and heritage museums, fine arts and traditional crafts, exhibitions, theatre arts, cinema, music) youth and sports, and media.
