• The trade volume between the two countries increased in the period from 2004 to 2009 the trade volume is about 15-18 million dollars and the trade balance is in favor of Egypt.
The Egyptian presence in Côte d'Ivoire :Nasr Company for Import and Export:
• Al Nasr Company for import and export is one of the first companies that have worked in Cote d'Ivoire after independence its presence in Côte d'Ivoire goes back to the mid-sixties of the last century.
Despite the international and regional economic variables as well as the strong competition from European and Chinese products in the Ivoirian market, the company still plays an important role in the conclusion of business deals between the two countries.
The value of transactions that have been held by the company in 2009 reaches nearly four million dollars in the form of Egyptian exports, the most important of which is cement, glucose, household appliances , air conditioners, refrigerators, edible oils.
The Arab Contractors:
• The Arab Contractors is currently in the process of constructing the Project known as "The Jacque Ville Bridge" President Gbagbo laid the foundation stone for this project on the 8th of July, 2009 in the presence of the Egyptian Ambassador, and the chairman of the Egyptian company. The project is one of the most important strategic projects in Cote d'Ivoire, expected to lead to an economic boom in the areas surrounding it as it links the city of Jaqueville and the economic capital Abidjan, 571 kilometers in total length, with an estimated cost of sixteen billion CFA francs (about $ 37 million).
The project is financed the Arab Bank for Development in Africa 33.88% and the Bank of West Africa for the development 33.35% and the OPEC Fund by 27.38% and the Ivorian Government by 5.84%.
The project is expected to be inaugurated on July 2011.
• The company started as of January 2014 in implementation of a project to expand and develop the Cargo Village Abidjan International Airport.
• There are ongoing contacts to discuss the possibility of Arab Contractors carry out more infrastructure projects in Côte d'Ivoire during the next phase in contributing to the reconstruction process.
