CameroonBilateral relations
1- Political relations:
• Egypt is one of the first countries that established a diplomatic mission in Cameroon.
 2- Economic relations:
• Trade between the two countries reached 7 million dollars mainly in favor of Egypt.
3- Cultural relations:
• The Egyptian Embassy in Yaoundé has gifted the Cameroonian National Library, Egyptian literature and cultural references translated into French, in august 2013.
• Al-Azhar plays a distinct cultural role in Cameroon, where 35 envoy scattered in all Cameroonian provinces.
• Al-Azhar offers 10 annual scholarships for Cameroonian students to study at Al Azhar University and benefit from annual training courses offered by Al-Azhar imams.
4- Technical relations:
• The EAPD has sent logistical support and food assistance for refugees from Nigeria and Central African Republic as well as displaced Cameroonians in Cameroon, in addition to convoy of Egyptian doctors to work in refugees camps, in April 2015.
• The International Centre for agriculture provides five annual scholarships to Cameroon in various fields including agriculture sector in addition to training courses provided by radio and television Union to Cameroonian reporters and training courses provided by the Ministries of Interior and defense.5-Cooperation in the field of health:
• Egyptian Agency for Partnership for Development has given 4 dental units to Cameroon.
• The Egyptian Fund for Technical Cooperation with Africa has equipped a wing in Yaounde Hospital for liver diseases.
• The Egyptian Fund for Technical Cooperation with Africa provided medicine grants to the Ministry of Health of Cameroon to support it in its fight against cholera in May 2010.
• Egyptian Fund has sent medicinal grants of vaccines against cholera to Cameroon in September 2013 in addition to the previously submitted aid consisting of 13 thousand medication tray to combat meningitis disease in Cameroon in September 2011.
• The Fund has organized several courses in the field of diplomacy, judiciary, security and defense, nursing and secured maternity, rice cultivation and tourism. Mutual VisitsEgyptian officials visits to Cameroon
• Delegation from Egypt Air visited Cameroon in November 2013 to discuss the opening of an airline route linking the two countries.
• Egyptian Presidential Envoy Ambassador/ Mokhles Qotb paid a visit to Cameroon in July 2013 carrying a message from the President to the Cameroonian President.
• Visit of a delegation from the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism in July 2013.
• Visit of a delegation from the Egyptian Ministry of Agriculture in December 2012 to discuss the joint Egyptian Cameroonian farm.
• Visit of a delegation from the Egyptian Ministry of Finance to Yaoundé in February 2012 to negotiate on double taxation agreement between the two countries.
• Visit of an Egyptian security delegation in July 2011 to participate in the Committee on Intelligence and Security Devices.
• Visit paid by the representative of the Egyptian Ministry of Defense to participate in a donors' conference to mobilize the necessary resources for the logistics base of the continental African Standby Force, in July 2011.
• Visit of a delegation from the Ministry of Manpower in April 2011 to participate in the Conference of African Ministers of Labour in Yaounde.
• Visit paid by the Assistant Finance Minister in December 2010 to participate in the third extraordinary meeting of the finance ministers of African in Yaounde.
• Visit paid by Ambassador Ahmed Haggag, in May 2010 as a personal envoy of Mr. President to participate in the celebration of Cameroon's fiftieth independence anniversary.
• Egyptian Former Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit paid a visit to Cameroon in April 2010 on the occasion of the sixth session of the Joint Committee between the two countries.
• Visit paid by Counselor / Adel Abdel Hamid, former head of the Court of Cassation and the former Minister of Justice to Cameroon in February 2010 to attend the opening of the judicial year in Cameroon.Cameroonian officials visits to Egypt
• visit paid by Minister of Housing and Urban Development of Cameroon in December 2014, and signed a memorandum of understanding between the two countries in the field of housing and urban development.
• Visit of a Cameroonian military delegation to Cairo to strengthen military cooperation between the two countries.
• Visit of a delegation representing the Ministry of Communications of Cameroon to Cairo to strengthen cooperation in areas of communications and information technology in August 2014.
• Visit paid by a Cameroonian official delegation to attend the follow-up committee and political consultation meeting between the two countries held in Cairo in October 2013.
• Visit paid by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Parliamentary Affairs to participate in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Summit in February 2013.
• The minister in charge of relations with the Islamic countries in May 2012 to participate in the Ministerial Meeting of the Coordinating Bureau of the Non-Aligned Movement, which was held in Sharm El-Sheikh.
• Visit the Cameroonian Minister of Finance to participate in the Committee of Ten meeting of finance ministers and governors of African central banks and the International Monetary Fund, in October 2011.
• Visit by a delegation from the Ministry of Finance of Cameroon in Cairo in• June 2011.
• Visit by a delegation from the Ministry of Health of Cameroon to Cairo in• August 2010.
• visit of the President of the University of Yaoundé to Egypt in July to sign the memorandums of understanding with four universities in Egypt (Cairo - Ain Shams Alexandria-Suez Canal).
• Visit of The Minister of Energy and Water, where he met the Egyptian minister of electricity and made a factory tour in el sewedy company in 2010.Contractual framework
• 4 memorandums of understanding for cooperation between Yaounde I University and the universities of Cairo, Alexandria, Ain Shams and the Suez Canal, were signed in July 2010.
• A Memorandum of Understanding in the field of housing and urban development was signed in December 14, 2014.
