BeninBrief on bilateral relations:•A cooperation agreement exists between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Egypt and Benin signed on 7/2/2000. Economic and trade cooperation is also governed by four economic agreements, but the trade exchange volume is considered very small and includes some food commodities.•Egypt provided humanitarian aid, including medical drugs and tents for victims of floods in Benin in October 2010. Two Egyptian medical convoys have also visited Benin in 2011 and 2012 to combat eye diseases of ophthalmology and blindness. Egypt also provided a range of medicines for the clinic of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ personnel.
