Graduated from Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, Egypt (AAST-MT) in 2000, working as senior marine instructor providing courses in marine simulator of AAST-MT since 2009. since 2021 Head of Marine Simulator Department, and earned his master degree in (Assessment of ECDIS training performance and quality) from AASTMT in 2015. in 2023 earned his doctoral Degree in Maritime education and training. He served in different navigation company and ship’s types (General Cargo, RO-RO, Bulk Carrier, Container, and Passenger ships from 2003 to 2009. His work experience included different ranking positions starting third mate up to chief mate. His research interest started in 2011 when he shared in the Passage plan and weather routing SYLLUBS MT 253 HANDOUT. Such interest extends to include several publications, some of which are “Effect of STCW 2010 amendments on ECDIS training” in 2012, “The Effect of Vessel Traffic Service on Minimizing Collisions” in 2015, “A Review of Maritime Associated Pollution” in 2017, “Knowledge Sharing in Maritime Education and Training The Case of ECDIS Training Courses” and “Service Quality as a mediator between Interactivity, Simulation and Students' Satisfaction” in 2018 and “Blended Learning Adoption in Maritime Education and Training” and “Investigating the Role of S-mode in ECDIS navigation system” in 2019. ECDIS Cyber-security 2022 He shared in several developing courses Navigation Safety & Radar Simulator (NN435), ECDIS Simulator Course, Ship-handling and Maneuvering Course, Pilot and Tug Master Workshop. As well as a team member in development and upgrades KELVIN HUGH ECDIS lap 2010, Transas ECDIS lab 2014, Transas simulators 2019 Recently, he was a team member in ECDIS passage planning and watchkeeping technical review at WITHERBY publishing group, Livingston, UK
