Dr. Nouran Ahmed Nashaat is an Assistant Professor at the College of Management and Technology, Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), Egypt. She also has more than 18 years of academic experience contributing to teaching and learning within an international higher-education environment. She holds both a PhD and an MBA and completed her doctoral degree at AASTMT in November 2021. Her doctoral thesis, entitled The Impact of Nudging on Students’ Commitment in Higher Education, examined the use of behavioural interventions to strengthen student engagement and commitment within higher-education institutions. She serves as a member of the editorial advisory board in the EuroMid Journal of Business and Tech-Innovation (EJBTI) which is a journal monitored by EuroMid Academy. Her academic and research expertise lies at the intersection of digital transformation, marketing, sustainability, higher education, and technology-enhanced learning. Her principal research interests include digital nudging, student satisfaction and commitment, online learning, educational technologies, artificial intelligence in education, generative AI, business intelligence adoption, digital marketing, corporate governance, board diversity, and the social and organisational implications of digitalisation. Her recent research has also extended to intelligent computing, cybersecurity, curriculum development using generative AI, gender disparities in education and employment, and governance quality in the Middle East and North Africa. Dr. Nashaat has authored and co-authored scholarly publications addressing contemporary issues in education, business, technology, and governance. Her published studies include research on the mediating role of student satisfaction in online learning, the influence of digital nudging and gender on students’ online commitment, business intelligence adoption, board diversity and governance quality in the MENA region, gender and employment disparities, and the application of generative AI to curriculum development. Her work has appeared in academic outlets including the Journal of e-Learning and Higher Education, IBIMA Business Review, the Australian Journal of Basic and Applied Sciences, the Arab Journal of Administration, the Alexandria University Journal of Administrative Sciences, and the EuroMid Journal of Business and Tech-Innovation. In addition to her teaching and publication activities, Dr. Nashaat actively participates in international academic conferences and professional-development initiatives. She contributed to the International Conference on Smart Business Technologies, ICSBT Cairo 2025, hosted at the American University in Cairo’s Onsi Sawiris School of Business. In 2026, she presented research at the Innovation in Intelligent Computing and Cybersecurity Conference at the Military Technical College, engaging with researchers working in intelligent technologies, cybersecurity, and applied digital transformation. Dr. Nashaat has pursued professional training in emerging digital technologies, including certifications in AI for Digital Marketing: Applications in Online Business and Introduction to Prompt Engineering for Generative AI. She also received a Certificate of Appreciation for her participation in ICSBT Cairo. Her academic profile reflects a strong commitment to interdisciplinary and applied research that connects technological innovation with education, organisational development, marketing, governance, and sustainable business practices. She is fluent in Arabic and English and possesses basic proficiency in French.
