Yasser M. Moustafa obtained his B.Sc. in Architecture from Cairo University, Egypt in 1986, his Master of Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology, USA in 1993, and his Ph.D. in Architecture from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, USA in 2004. He is currently the Head of the Department of Architectural Engineering and Environmental Design at the College of Engineering and Technology, Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, Cairo. He teaches undergraduate courses in architectural design and in environmental studies as well as postgraduate courses in research methods and in environment-behavior studies. His research interests include environment-behavior relationships in general and more particularly cultural, social; and behavioral issues in urban design.
