Inas Hussein Hassan is a Professor of Applied Linguistics at the Department of Humanities, College of Language and Communication (CLC), Alexandria. She is currently the Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research. She holds an MA in TEFL from the Centre of Applied Language Studies (CALS), Reading University, UK, and a PhD in Applied Linguistics from the Institute of Applied Linguistics and Translation, Faculty of Arts, Alexandria University. She has thirty years of teaching experience in undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Her research interests are in Testing and Assessment, Programme Evaluation, English for Specific Purposes (ESP), Pragmatics and Discourse Analysis. She has published a number of research papers in Discourse Analysis, Pragmatics, Learner Autonomy and Stylistics. She is supervising MA theses in Applied Linguistics and ESP and PhD dissertations in Education. She is a member of the Research and Innovation Council at the AASTMT. She is a certified Publons Academy mentor. She is a member of the International Research Centre Scientific and Technical Committee and Editorial Review Board on Humanities and Social Sciences. She is also a member of the Scientific Committee of the Applied Linguistics Research Symposium, Price Sultan University, KSA. She has been a member of the QS committee at the AASTMT for the Academic year 2020/ 2021 and currently a member of the Times Higher Education committee at the AASTMT. She is an Associate Editor in Insights of Language, Culture and Communication journal.
