Dr. Mohamed Walid Abdel Hamid Ahmed Refaie has served as Head of the Engineering Training Department at the Maritime Training Institute (Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport) since January 2013. A senior engineer, he has worked as a second engineer and chief engineer on various types of vessels. He earned his Master's degree in Marine Engineering from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport in Egypt (2012) and his PhD in 2016. Since 2007, he has been a lecturer in Marine Engineering at the same academy, teaching marine engineering, marine diesel engines, control, crewing, and maritime safety.
